The Premium Deluxe Edition is the most expensive digital tier, priced $10 above Deluxe and $20 above Standard. All three editions contain the same base game; the kit attached and the bonus count are the only differences.

What the Premium Deluxe Kit adds

The Premium Kit is the top-tier content pack: digital outfits and bonuses that extend beyond Musashi to the wider cast, including non-playable characters whose alternate looks would otherwise never appear.

The kit includes deliberate series callbacks, including a red armor set reminiscent of Samanosuke's armor from the original Onimusha. It is similar rather than a faithful reproduction.

Physical confusion

Steelbook vs Premium Deluxe: what US buyers actually got

US retail offered standard, deluxe and steelbook tiers, but the steelbook edition was not equivalent to the digital Premium Deluxe package.

The structural answer: the US never received a physical Premium Deluxe tier. Buyers choosing physical steelbook got a case-and-disc product at a lower tier than the digital Premium Deluxe, while Japan and Europe received true physical premium editions. Players wanting both the steelbook and the top digital kit had to buy separately.

Who should buy Premium Deluxe?

Premium Deluxe is for players who want its wider outfit selection, kit charms and mini soundtrack and do not mind paying the highest digital price. It is also the simplest route if the wider cast outfits and nostalgic callbacks matter more than physical packaging.

Choose Standard when the base campaign is your priority. Premium Deluxe adds appearance items that change the look and equipped charms that strengthen abilities.
