Quick Answer

Start with Standard if you mainly want the campaign. Deluxe adds the Deluxe Kit; Premium Deluxe includes both the Deluxe Kit and Premium Kit. Pick a higher tier for specific extras you want, then compare its total price with your local store's upgrade options.

Sword appearances change the look without changing battle performance. Charms have equipped ability effects. These are different kinds of extras, so weigh them separately when choosing a package.

Compare prices within the same storefront

US digital prices on September 8, 2026 are shown below. Prices are in USD; check the checkout total for your account's region, taxes and any current promotion. A physical retailer's package may include different items.

US digital edition prices by storefront
Storefront / platformStandardDeluxePremium Deluxe
Steam / Windows PC$69.99$79.99$89.99
PlayStation Store / PS5$69.99$79.99$89.99
Xbox Store / Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC$69.99$79.99$89.99

Choose by what you plan to use

  • Tight budget: choose Standard, or wait for a price that fits your budget. Keep the comparison focused on the amount you are willing to spend today.
  • Interested in Musashi's look: inspect the Red Armor, sword and gauntlet designs before choosing Deluxe. A higher tier is easier to justify when you can name the items you want.
  • Interested in the wider cast: compare the Oni Lady and Okuni looks with your preferences. Choose Premium Deluxe if that larger selection and the mini soundtrack are worth the difference to you.
  • Already own the game: compare add-on kits against the contents already in your library. Rebuying a full edition is not the first option to consider.

Work out the cost of buying extras later

On the US Xbox Store, the Deluxe Kit and Premium Kit each cost $19.99; the combined Premium Deluxe Kit costs $29.99. Kits are add-ons for the base game. Premium Kit contains the additional Premium items; it does not include the Deluxe Kit.

At those listed prices, Standard plus the Deluxe Kit totals $89.98, compared with $79.99 for Deluxe. Standard plus the combined kit totals $99.98, compared with $89.99 for Premium Deluxe. Buying a bundle now costs less if you already want those extras. Waiting leaves you time to decide whether you want them at all; recalculate when prices change.

Windows PC / SteamCheck your PC against the current system requirements and try the available demo before selecting extras.
PS5Compare the digital package with a local disc offer if physical ownership matters to you.
Xbox Series X|S and Windows PCXbox Play Anywhere is supported. Consider an Xbox digital copy if you use both devices; a Steam purchase is a separate storefront choice.
Nintendo Switch 2Open Nintendo eShop for your account region and compare its current bundles and add-ons.

Check bonuses and physical contents before paying

US PlayStation Store digital editions include two Early Adopter bonuses with Standard and four with Deluxe or Premium Deluxe. Check the included-content list on the exact product you are buying; an older preorder description is not a promise for every current listing or region.

For a boxed copy, compare the named digital kit, included redemption codes and physical items separately. A Steelbook describes packaging; use the retailer's item list to decide which digital extras accompany that particular copy. Keep a copy of the listing and your order details for reference.

Frequently asked questions

Which Onimusha: Way of the Sword edition should I buy?

Choose Standard when the campaign is your priority. Shortlist Deluxe or Premium Deluxe only after deciding which of their listed extras you want and how much you are willing to pay for them.

Is Premium Kit the same as Premium Deluxe Kit?

No. Premium Deluxe Kit combines the Deluxe Kit and Premium Kit. Check which pack you already own before adding another one.

Should I use the same price for every platform and region?

No. Compare the exact edition in your account's storefront and currency. The table above is a dated US digital comparison; local taxes, promotions and physical bundles can change the total.
